Paul L. Duffy, M.Ed., BCCC, LPC-Intern  is licensed by the state of Texas to provide psychotherapeutic and personal development counseling and is certified to provide Christian Counseling services through The American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) of which he is a Charter Member (joined Jan., 1994).  AACC provides certification for Christian Counseling service-providers via its credentialing arm, the International Board of Christian Counselors (IBCC) through an evaluation of references completed by the members' pastors, supervisors, and colleagues, evaluation of the members' professional education via university transcripts of undergraduate, graduate and post-Master's education, members' self-report regarding counseling models and approaches used in services provision, including integration of Christian faith understandings, spiritual practices and disciplines, and members' witnessed subscription to and agreement with the AACC Doctrinal Statement, the AACC Christian Counseling Code of Ethics, and the IBCC Statement on Professional Christian Counseling.

Professional Education and Experience

Paul has been providing educational, vocational and personal adjustment/development counseling services for nearly two decades to individuals from ages 18 to 80 as Counselor - Professor at Austin Community College in Austin, Texas.   As a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a major in Sociology, he has a Master's of Education from Texas State University with a major in Counseling and Guidance and a Minor in Psychology.  He has completed 39 Post-Master's graduate-hours in counseling and teaching including 9 graduate-hours focusing on counseling individuals with exceptionalities including some forms of psychopathology.
